WHAT TO EXPECT IN A TTB CLASS
TTB stands to Tummy, Thighs & Bum. In this class we work on the strength of the lower body only. Core and legs.
If you have a think about the muscles you use everyday where do you usually start to feel pain first? My guess is that at least in the top 2 spots is your lower back. I have found that a lot of women are not placing enough of an importance on their core and pelvic strength and their glute strength these 2 weaknesses can lead to chronic lower back pain even when sitting. This is why I have a class dedicated to the lower body. We strengthen the muscles that surround the lumbar, legs and bum.
BUNS OF STEEL
This class is not too different from a Weights and Strength class the only change is that its lower body focused. I like to focus on the small muscles surrounding the glute and legs. These smaller muscles get overlooked and therefore can present in mobility issues or even neck and shoulder problems.
We often see weak glutes or posterior connected to a weak core, whether its due to sitting at a desk or inactivity in daily life.

If your glutes and core are weak or inactive you are unable to hold your pelvis in the right position, This can cause the wrong muscle groups to “engage” to help compensate for the lack of strength in the glutes and core therefore they never improve and you wonder why as you get older you have lower back issues.
OVERALL BALANCE
During this class we use stations and pods where you complete the program in a circuit style. I use a timer for each exercise and you may complete several exercises per station for a few sets. I plan in a fun way how many reps I want you to aim for we are working in an endurance format. Different to Tuesdays which is predominantly a strength & hypertrophy format.

This is all the thought that goes into each session, the work that you don't have to worry about, Just show up and focus on your own fitness and health.
Leave the rest to me.
